Our owners, Jim and Michele, bring a unique blend of inspection experience and hands‑on restoration work to every project they take on.

Before launching Mold Clear, Jim and Michele spent several years as licensed home inspectors, evaluating hundreds of properties and helping clients understand the true condition of their homes. That experience sharpened their eye for detail, building science, and hidden moisture issues that often go unnoticed.

They then spent nearly a decade running a restoration company in Portland that provided remediation services for a non‑profit organization, working with families and individuals facing difficult situations. In that role, they handled water, mold, and property damage in homes and buildings of every size and condition, always with a focus on safety, clear communication, and practical solutions.

Today, Jim and Michele draw on both backgrounds—home inspection and remediation—to deliver thorough, real‑world assessments. They understand how buildings are put together, how they fail, and what it takes to restore a healthy indoor environment.

Life-long Portlanders, they recently moved across the river and are very much enjoying their new location between Ridgefield and Vancouver!
